The back is a single panel of woven jute stretched between two uprights, with a gap left between the panel and the seat. Four legs taper to the floor and are braced low down by stretchers on all four sides, the front rail set to take a foot. Small metal plates fixed with rivets hold the seat and the foot of the back panel to the frame.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe seat sits 68cm from the floor, 47cm across and 48cm deep, which is counter height rather than bar height: it goes under a kitchen island or a counter worktop. Pulled out from an island, the jute back faces the room. The frame is 48cm wide and 60cm deep, so two will sit side by side along a run of counter with a gap between them.
