The seat is a deep disc stitched round the rim, in a leather that runs olive across the top and darkens toward the edge. The column is bare iron, turned and flaring out at the foot, and it stands on a round domed base. A flat iron ring sits about a third of the way up as a footrest, carried on four spokes.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe seat is 75cm from the floor, which puts it at breakfast-bar and kitchen-island height. Two will sit along a kitchen island, one drawn up to it and one set back. The footring gives the feet somewhere to sit, and the single round foot leaves more floor clear underneath than four legs would.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe seat is goat leather, a by-product of herds farmed by local herdsmen, and the frame is iron. The leather is worked by hand, so the depth of colour varies across each seat and from one stool to the next. The stool does not swivel.
