nabas-glass-vase-38-5cm
Nabas Glass Vase 38.5cm

Description

The Nabas glass vase is a tall, straight-sided cylinder in smoke-grey tinted glass, rising to a softly rounded shoulder and a short, narrow neck. It stands 38.5cm tall and 15cm across, a height that reads well on a floor or a low surface and holds its own beside furniture. The tint is light enough to let the stems show faintly through the glass, while the surface carries a gentle reflective sheen that catches the light from a window or a lamp.

We see this grey glass vase living indoors: on a hallway console, a sideboard, a mantelpiece or straight on the floor beside a bookcase or an armchair. The narrow neck is the clever part. It gathers a few stems tightly and keeps them upright, so a single leafy branch, some eucalyptus or a handful of dried grasses looks deliberate rather than sparse. That suits anyone who likes greenery in the house without buying a large bunch of flowers every week, and the cool grey sits comfortably with white walls, pale wood, blue textiles and warmer neutrals alike.

It is made entirely of glass and weighs 1.13KG, which gives it a steady footing for taller branches that might tip a lighter vase. Glass does not soak up water or odours, so it rinses clean between arrangements. A bottle brush reaches inside the narrow neck easily, and warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid lifts any cloudy water marks. Change the water every few days for the freshest stems, and stand the vase on a level surface well back from the edge of a shelf.

Specification

Material

Glass

Height

38.5cm

Diameter

15cm

Weight

1.13KG

Frequently Asked

How tall is the Nabas vase?

It stands 38.5cm tall and measures 15cm across, so it works on the floor, a sideboard or a wide mantelpiece.

What colour is the glass?

The glass is tinted a smoke grey with a soft reflective sheen, light enough that stems show faintly through it.

Will it hold a large bunch of flowers?

The short, narrow neck suits a few stems or a single branch best, keeping them upright rather than spreading a big, full bouquet.

How heavy is the vase?

It weighs 1.13KG, which gives it a steady footing when it holds taller branches or stands on the floor.

Can the vase go outdoors?

We recommend keeping it indoors, where it sits well on a console, a sideboard, a mantelpiece or straight on the floor.

How should I clean the vase?

Glass does not soak up water or odours, so rinse it with warm soapy water and use a bottle brush through the narrow neck.
