The glass has a rippled, dimpled surface that breaks up and softens the light, so the whole sphere glows warm when lit. Inside is a 4W integrated LED giving 167lm at 2700K, with a CRI of 90, so there is no bulb to buy or change and colours look natural under its warm white light. It is DALI dimmable, so it dims through a compatible DALI control.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis is a 48V DC fitting for the Murané Street 48V track, which is sold separately and which holds and feeds the light; it does not work on its own. The track needs a Murané Street 48V power supply for the track, also sold separately, to power it. The light also runs through a remote 48V DC driver, which is not included and sold separately, and supplies it with the 48V DC it needs. The system is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. We like a run of these spheres along a track over a kitchen island, where small warm points of light sit neatly overhead without crowding the ceiling.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is an indoor light.
