murane-smoke-grey-glass-sphere-pendant-light-10cm-champagne
Murané Smoke Grey Glass Sphere Pendant Light 10cm - Champagne

Description

The Murané is a small pendant light: a 10cm sphere of Smoke Grey glass hung on a fine cable from a Brushed Champagne fitting. The glass has a gently rippled surface, so the light catches and bends across it rather than sitting flat. Inside is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 167lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which keeps food, wood and skin tones looking true, and draws 2.7W or 4W depending on the version. Ordered with its canopy, it hangs from a ceiling canopy 5.5cm across and 13cm tall.

At 10cm across, one sphere makes a soft glow over a side table or a reading corner in a living room, and a row of them works well above a dining table. It comes in two canopy choices: with canopy, as a single pendant, or without canopy, for multi-pendant canopies (sold separately), where several spheres hang together in a cluster. The 24V DC version needs a remote 24V DC driver, sold separately, which converts the mains supply to the low voltage that version runs on. It is rated IP20, so it belongs in dry rooms only.

The Smoke Grey glass and Brushed Champagne finish suit warm interiors, sitting comfortably beside oak, stone and soft neutral colours. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician. With a drop of up to 300cm, it works under high ceilings as well as standard ones, and a sphere this size can hang low over a table without blocking the view across it. As a practical note, settle on how many pendants you want and which canopy choice suits your ceiling before you order, so a single drop or a cluster is planned from the start.

Specification

Finish

Brushed Champagne

Glass

Smoke Grey

Diameter

10cm

Canopy Diameter

5.5cm

Canopy Height

13cm

Max Drop

300cm

Light Source

Integrated LED

LED Power

2.7W or 4W (by version)

Luminous Flux

167lm

Colour Temperature

2700K

CRI

90

Power

Mains, wired in by an electrician

Voltage

230V

IP Rating

IP20

Lead time

Made to order, usually delivered in 4 to 8 weeks

Frequently Asked

Does the Murané pendant light need a bulb?

No. It has an integrated LED giving 167lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so there is no bulb to buy or change.

How big is the glass sphere?

The Smoke Grey glass sphere is 10cm across, and the cable gives a drop of up to 300cm from the ceiling.

Can I use this pendant in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, such as a dining room or a living room.

Can I hang several Murané pendants together?

Yes.
