Both tiers are shallow woven cones with a dark bound rim, the upper one smaller than the lower, and they sit one above the other on a dark iron post that runs up through the centre and finishes in a ring. The lower tier stands on a flared woven pedestal, so the first tier is already lifted clear of the surface. The rattan is natural straw and cream with dark strands worked through it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe two tiers take fruit, vegetables or eggs, and because both are open weave the air moves right through them and round whatever is in them. The lower tier is 31cm across and the pedestal lifts it clear of the surface, so it holds a load without spreading across a worktop.
