moghis-stoneware-hanging-plant-pot-black
Moghis Stoneware Hanging Plant Pot - Black

Description

This is a hanging plant pot in black stoneware, slung from hemp cords that gather into a knotted loop at the top. The pot itself is 12cm across and 13cm tall, and the whole piece measures 65cm long, so it hangs a plant well clear of a shelf or sill while taking little room. Its rounded, slightly tapered body is covered in a leafy pattern, and because each piece is decorated by hand, no two are quite alike: the pot you receive will carry its own version of the design.

At 12cm across, it suits a small houseplant: a trailing ivy, a string of pearls or a compact fern will sit happily and let its leaves spill over the rim. Hang it from a ceiling hook in a living room, by a bright kitchen window or above a console table, where a plant at eye level softens a bare wall. It also works for anyone short on surface space, from a studio flat to a busy bedroom, since it brings in greenery without taking a single spot on a shelf. Grouped at different heights with other hanging plants, it gives the corner of a room some height and movement.

Stoneware is a dense, hard-fired ceramic, which gives the pot a solid feel at 0.75KG, and hemp is a strong natural fibre with a rustic, slightly fibrous texture that suits a plant hanger well. The cords run from the knotted loop down the sides of the pot, keeping the hanger simple and unfussy. The hand decoration means the pattern varies from piece to piece, which we think is part of the appeal. For styling, pair the black pot with bright green foliage, which stands out clearly against the black surface, and hang two or three at different heights for a fuller look.

Specification

Length

65cm

Height

13cm

Diameter

12cm

Material

Stoneware, Hemp

Colour

Black

Finish

Each piece is unique as it is decorated by hand

Weight

0.75KG

Frequently Asked

What material is this hanging pot?

The pot is stoneware and the hanging cords are hemp, a strong natural fibre, gathered into a knotted loop at the top for hanging.

How big is the pot?

The pot is 12cm across and 13cm tall, and the whole piece is 65cm long, so it suits a small houseplant rather than a large one.

How much does it weigh?

It weighs 0.75KG as it arrives.
