At 25cm across it is a comfortable size to hang on its own above a small table, or in a row of several over a longer one. The long drop lets you set the height to suit a tall ceiling as well as a standard one. The shade wraps the bulb, so the light comes through the white glass rather than from a bare lamp, which keeps the effect soft around a table.
