miniature-turtle-glass-figurine-with-amber-flippers-green
Miniature Turtle Glass Figurine with Amber Flippers - Green

Description

This miniature glass figurine is a little turtle, its domed green shell built up from smooth raised segments that catch the light like polished pebbles. The shell runs from bright lime at the edges to a deep green along the ridge, while the head and four flippers are a warm, see-through amber, finished with a tiny white and black eye and a neat pointed nose. It is a small piece, 3cm high, 4.5cm wide and 6cm deep, so it sits easily in the palm of your hand.

Being so small, it fits the spots where larger ornaments would crowd: a bookshelf between paperbacks, the corner of a desk, a bedside table or a bathroom shelf. Set it on a sunny windowsill and daylight shines straight through the glass, so the green and amber glow and cast soft colour onto the sill. It sits happily in a display cabinet beside other small glass animals, or on its own as a quiet reminder of the sea and summer holidays. If you are choosing a gift, its size makes it easy to wrap and simple for anyone to find a home for, whether they have a whole shelf of ornaments or none at all.

The figurine is made of glass throughout and rests on its four outstretched flippers, so it needs no stand or base to sit level on a shelf. Glass this small is delicate, so we suggest a spot out of reach of busy hands and curious pets, and lifting it by the shell rather than the flippers. To keep it bright, dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a damp cloth and dry it straight away. For a simple seaside scene, group it with a few shells or smooth pebbles on a sunny sill, where the light can do the rest.

Specification

Material

Glass

Colour

Green

Height

3cm

Width

4.5cm

Depth

6cm

Weight

0.035kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the glass turtle figurine?

It is 3cm high, 4.5cm wide and 6cm deep, small enough to sit easily in the palm of your hand.

What is the turtle figurine made of?

The figurine is made of glass, with a green shell and an amber head and flippers that daylight shines through.

Does the turtle need a stand to display it?

No stand is needed.
