The dome is a smooth curve, much broader than it is deep, with a pale lining that shows as a bright disc from below. A small brass collar sits at the knuckle where the head tilts. The arm reaches well out from the wall and folds flat against it. A black lead trails down the wall.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA wall light earns its place by leaving the surface below it clear. Beside a bed where there is no room for a table lamp, over a work bench, up a stairwell or either side of a mirror, it gives directed light without taking up any space.
