A squat smoked glass ellipsoid, much wider than it is tall, with a faint grid pressed into the glass so a fine mesh pattern shows across the surface without breaking the outline. The tint is a soft grey, clear enough that the lamp inside shows through as a warm core and dark enough to grey whatever is behind it. It hangs from a flat black disc cap that sits tight on the top of the glass, with a short stem above it and a plain black flex. There is no rim and no visible fixing. The form is low and flat and hangs close under the ceiling.
