meridian-plain-velvet-cushion-cranberry-mocha-55x55cm
Meridian Plain Velvet Cushion - Cranberry/Mocha

Description

This is a plain velvet-feel cushion in a rich cranberry pink, finished with a contrasting piped edge in mocha brown. It measures 55 by 55cm, which is larger than the standard 45cm cushion most sofas are dressed with, so it reads as a generous, filled square rather than a token scatter. The face and reverse are the same plain velvet, so it sits either way up and there is no right or wrong side to fuss over. The cover is made from 100% polyester.

A cushion this size earns its place at the back of a sofa or across a bed, where a 45cm cushion would look lost. Two of them anchor the corners of a three-seater; one softens the back of an armchair. The mocha piping gives it a defined edge, so it holds its shape against plainer upholstery and does its job even in a group of patterned cushions. Because the front and reverse match, you can layer several together without worrying about which way each one faces. The cranberry and mocha pairing sits comfortably with warm neutrals, deeper reds and natural woods.

The cover closes with a zip, so it comes off for cleaning and the pad can be swapped or replaced when it softens with use. Polyester velvet holds its colour well, resists creasing and does not shed, which is why it wears so evenly on a cushion that gets sat against daily. The piped trim is stitched into the seam all the way round, framing the plain face. The Meridian range runs across several colourways with the same plain-front, contrast-piped construction, so you can build a matching or complementary set from it.

Specification

Material

100% Polyester

Design

Plain front and reverse with contrasting piped edge

Construction

Piped trim, zip closure

Size

55x55cm

Sold as

Single cushion

Frequently Asked

Is the cover removable for cleaning?

Yes.
