meridian-plain-velvet-cushion-blush-teal-55x55cm
Meridian Plain Velvet Cushion - Blush/Teal

Description

This is a plain velvet cushion from the Meridian range, made from 100% polyester and finished in a soft blush pink with a contrasting piped edge in deep teal. It is a larger than average square cushion at 55 x 55cm, so it fills a corner of a sofa properly rather than getting lost against the back cushions. The face and reverse are both plain, so it sits the same way round whichever way it lands, and the piped border traces the whole perimeter to give the edge a crisp, defined line.

A cushion this size earns its place on a three-seater sofa, an armchair, a bed or a window seat, and the blush-with-teal pairing does a useful job: the pink reads as warm and quiet while the teal piping gives it enough contrast to stand out against a neutral wall or a grey sofa. It works on its own or grouped, and because Meridian is built around plain fronts with complementary piped edges, you can mix this blush and teal cushion with the other colourways in the range without worrying about clashing prints. Layer it with a chunky knit throw or set it against linen and warm neutral tones.

The cover is velvet with a soft, dense pile that catches the light differently as you move around it, and the piped trim is stitched into the seam all the way round for a neat, tailored finish. A zip closure lets you take the cover off, and polyester holds colour well and stands up to everyday use, so a family sofa cushion does not have to be a delicate one. If you like the look, the wider Meridian range carries the same plain-front, piped-edge design across a run of complementary colours.

Specification

Material

100% polyester velvet

Design

Plain front and reverse, blush with contrasting teal piped edge

Construction

Piped trim, zip closure

Size

55x55cm

Sold as

Single cushion

Frequently Asked

What is the cover made of?

The cover is 100% polyester with a soft velvet pile, which holds its colour well and stands up to everyday use on a busy sofa or bed.

How big is this cushion?

It measures 55 x 55cm, which is larger than an average cushion, so it works well as a main cushion on a sofa or across the head of a bed.

Does the cover come off?

Yes, there is a zip closure along one edge, so the cover can be removed from the inner pad when you need to.

What colour is the piping?

The main body is a soft blush pink and the piped border that runs around the edge is a deep teal, giving a clear contrast against the pink.

Can I mix this with other cushions?

Yes.
