maragall-12-light-ceiling-light-black
Maragall 12 Light Ceiling Light - Black

Description

The Maragall is a 12 light ceiling light with a black steel frame that branches out from a round ceiling plate, each arm ending in a white globe of matt-opal glass. The frame sits on a short stem and spreads in an organic, molecular pattern, so the twelve globes fall at different points rather than in a single neat ring. It measures 100.5cm long, 90.5cm wide and 38cm high. Each light uses a G9 lamp rated at 3W and gives 320 lumens. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms only.

With so much reach, the Maragall suits a generous living room, an open-plan kitchen and dining space or a long dining table where one central light would leave the corners dim. The opal glass turns each lamp into a soft, even glow, so the light is spread across twelve points instead of one bright spot. Against a pale ceiling the black frame reads as a crisp line drawing, and against darker walls it looks just as sharp. Seen from beneath, the arms form a neat geometric web that guests tend to notice whenever they glance at the ceiling.

The body is steel in a black finish and the globes are white matt-opal glass, a pairing that looks calm whether the lamps are lit or dark. There is no switch on the fitting itself, so it runs from your existing wall switch. It weighs 9.125KG packed, and as a wired-in ceiling light it is installed by a qualified electrician, with the installation instructions supplied as a download. Glass wipes clean easily, so a soft, dry cloth over the globes every so often keeps them looking fresh.

Specification

Length

100.5cm

Width

90.5cm

Height

38cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Matte-opal glass

Shade Colour

White

Light Source

G9 (bulb included)

Wattage

12 x 3W

Lumens

320lm per light (12 lights)

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

F

Weight (packed)

9.125KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Maragall go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is meant for dry indoor rooms such as living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, never bathrooms or outdoor walls.

Which bulbs does the Maragall take?

Each of the twelve lights takes a G9 lamp rated at 3W, and each one gives 320 lumens through its opal glass globe.

How big is the Maragall ceiling light?

It measures 100.5cm long, 90.5cm wide and 38cm high, so it is best suited to a larger room or a long dining table.

Does it have its own switch?

No, there is no switch on the fitting.
