Fourteen hollows are carved into it: two rows of six down the length of the block, and a larger round well at each end where the board widens into a rounded lobe. The timber is 3.5cm thick and mid brown, and it carries the splits, saw marks and worn edges of the board it was.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEvery hollow takes a tealight, so fourteen flames run in two lines down the middle of a table. At 53cm it is long enough to hold the centre of a dining table or a coffee table on its own, and at 3.5cm high it stays below the line of sight across a table where a candlestick would not.
