maiak-stoneware-plant-pot-beige
Maiak Stoneware Plant Pot - Beige

Description

This stoneware plant pot is really two pots joined side by side, one standing a little taller than its neighbour, so a pair of plants can grow together from a single piece. It measures 23cm long, 11cm wide and 16cm tall and weighs 1.37KG, which gives it a satisfying solidity in the hand. The body is beige, and a glossy glaze pools around each rim before running down the sides in soft, uneven drips. Below the glaze, each pot steps in to a narrower foot, leaving a small arch of open space between the two.

With two openings and a modest height, it suits small houseplants and young cuttings, the sort that would look lost on their own in a larger pot. Pair an upright plant with a trailing one, or plant one side and keep something small and dry in the other. It sits comfortably on a windowsill, a bookshelf, a bedside table or the corner of a desk, and at 11cm wide it fits narrow ledges where a broader planter would overhang. In a living room, bedroom or hallway it brings a little greenery without taking up much room.

It is made entirely of stoneware, a dense, hard-fired ceramic with a reassuring weight. The glaze deserves a closer look: because of its nature, the colour may vary from one piece to the next, so the pot you receive will have shading of its own. We see that as the charm of a glazed piece rather than a flaw. For styling, let the two plants differ in height so the staggered rims read clearly, and set the pot against bare wood, linen or woven textures, where its beige tones look warmest.

Specification

Width

11cm

Length

23cm

Height

16cm

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Beige

Finish

Due to nature of the glaze colour variations may occur

Weight

1.37KG

Frequently Asked

What material is the plant pot?

It is made of 100% stoneware, with a glossy glaze over the beige body that runs down from each rim in soft drips.

How big is it?

It is 23cm long, 11cm wide and 16cm tall, and the two joined pots stand at slightly different heights.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 1.37KG, a solid weight for a pot of this size that helps it sit steadily on a shelf or windowsill.

Is it one piece or two?

It is a single piece: two stoneware pots joined side by side, one a little taller than the other, with a gap between their feet.

Can I put two different plants in it?

Yes.
