lucina-glass-christmas-tealight-holder-silver
Lucina Glass Christmas Tealight Holder - Silver

Description

Lucina is a tall tealight holder for the Christmas season, made entirely of glass and standing 20cm tall and 11cm across. Its surface is covered in a fine crackled texture, rather like crushed ice, and the silver finish is heaviest towards the base, thinning as it rises so more of the glass shows through near the rim. The body tapers from a broad shoulder down to a short, round foot, which gives it a lifted, lantern-like stance on a shelf or sill. At 0.51KG it is easy to lift and move around the house as you rearrange your decorations.

We see it as a windowsill piece through December, where the silver catches the daylight and then the candlelight once it is lit. Drop a tealight inside and the flame sits well down in the glass, so the glow spreads out through the textured sides rather than over the rim, scattering small points of light across the sill. It works just as well on a mantelpiece among greenery, in the middle of a festive table or on a hallway console to greet guests. Its height means it holds its own beside garlands and taller decorations, and a few together along a sill make an easy display.

The holder is made of 100% glass, and its silver colour comes from a sprayed finish laid over the crackled surface. That finish is what gives the texture its sparkle when the tealight is lit. Because the silver builds from the foot upwards, the base reads as the solid part of the piece and the rim stays light, so it looks balanced from every side. The styling props shown are not included. For styling, set it on a mirrored tray or a pale stone sill, where the reflection doubles the glow, and keep greenery low around the foot so the textured glass stays on show.

Specification

Height

20cm

Diameter

11cm

Material

100% Glass

Colour

Silver

Finish

Spray

Weight

0.51KG

Frequently Asked

What size is the Lucina tealight holder?

It is 20cm tall and 11cm across, so it stands well above most other pieces on a windowsill or mantelpiece.

What is the holder made of?

It is made of 100% glass, with a crackled texture and a sprayed silver finish that is heaviest near the foot and lighter towards the rim.

What kind of candle does it take?

It is a tealight holder, so a tealight sits inside it, low down in the glass, and its glow comes through the textured sides.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 0.51KG, so it is easy to lift and move between the windowsill, the mantelpiece and the table as you rearrange your decorations.

Is a tealight included with the holder?

No. The holder comes on its own, and the tealight and the styling props shown are not included with it.
