The glaze is laid on in broad blocks that run down the body, a rust terracotta, a soft peach and a sand buff, each stopping at a different height over a speckled off white ground that shows through at the base.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe neck is narrow, so a few stems stand upright in it rather than falling open the way they would in a wide mouth. The inside carries a double layer of glaze and holds water, which means fresh flowers and not only dried ones. It stands on a shelf and holds cut eucalyptus.
