lowen-wool-plain-polyester-throw-moss-lichen
Lowen Wool Plain Polyester Throw - Moss / Lichen

Description

The Lowen throw is a brushed wool blend blanket in a soft, earthy green, measuring 130 x 170cm. It is made from 10% wool and 90% polyester, a mix that gives you the warmth and gentle handle of brushed wool fibres with the resilience and easy upkeep that a high polyester content brings. The face has a lightly felted, brushed finish, and the ground reads as a muted moss with a slightly heathered look in the weave.

A throw this size sits well folded over the arm of a sofa or draped along the foot of a bed, ready to pull across your lap on a cold evening. At 170cm long it covers a single adult comfortably and layers over a two or three seater without swamping it. The quiet green tone works with natural woods, warm neutrals and other muted colours, so it settles into a living room or bedroom without competing with what is already there.

The detail that sets this throw apart is the edging. A blanket stitch runs the whole way round in a darker contrasting yarn, worked in thick loops that you can see and feel, and each corner carries a jumbo tassel of the same yarn. That combination of a chunky worked trim and heavy corner tassels gives the piece a handmade, textural character against the smooth brushed field. It is a plain throw with the interest kept at the edges, which makes it easy to pair with patterned cushions or a printed curtain.

Specification

Material

10% wool, 90% polyester

Design

Plain brushed face with contrast blanket-stitch trim and jumbo corner tassels

Size

130 x 170cm

Country of origin

Moss / Lichen

Frequently Asked

What is this throw made from?

It is a wool blend, 10% wool to 90% polyester, with the wool fibres brushed for a soft handle and the polyester giving durability and easy everyday use.

How big is the Lowen throw?

It measures 130 x 170cm, which is a generous single-person size that folds neatly over a sofa arm or lies along the end of a bed.

What are the tassels and edging like?

Each corner has a chunky jumbo tassel in a darker yarn, and a thick blanket stitch is worked all the way round the edge in the same contrasting colour.

Will the green suit my room?

The colour is a soft, muted moss green that pairs easily with natural wood, warm neutrals and other quiet tones, so it works in most living rooms and bedrooms.

Is it warm enough for cold evenings?

The brushed wool blend fibres hold warmth well, so it is a cosy layer to wrap around yourself on the sofa or add to the bed on colder nights.
