losmora-metal-hurricane-lantern-brass-clear
Losmora Metal Hurricane Lantern - Brass & Clear

Description

The Losmora is a metal hurricane lantern in a warm brass finish. It is made as a round cage of slender curved rods that gathers into a globe around a clear glass cylinder. The rods rise in staggered lengths and stop short at the top, leaving it open, so the glow spills upwards and the candle is easy to reach for lighting. It stands 20.7cm tall and 23.7cm across, and at 1.4KG it feels solid and settled rather than flimsy whenever you lift it. It is made for indoor rooms.

We like it most as a centrepiece on a dining table, where its globe shape looks just as good from every chair. It works equally well on a sideboard, a mantelpiece, a coffee table or a deep windowsill. Because it is a little wider than it is tall, it sits low instead of towering over plates and glasses. The brass rods catch the candlelight and glint around the glass, so a single flame gives a far richer glow than it would in a plain holder. It suits anyone who wants a warm, gentle light for quiet evenings at home, and it sits happily alongside natural woods, cream linens and other metallic accents.

The frame is metal with a brass finish and the inner cylinder is clear glass, which shields the flame from draughts while letting every flicker show clearly. Glass wipes clean easily, so once the lantern has fully cooled, a soft cloth is all it needs to keep the cylinder bright. Choose a candle that sits comfortably within the glass with space around it, and always keep a lit candle in view and well away from curtains and anything that could catch.

Specification

Material

Metal, Glass

Height

20.7cm

Diameter

23.7cm

Weight

1.4KG

Frequently Asked

How big is the Losmora lantern?

It stands 20.7cm tall and 23.7cm across, so it fits a dining table, sideboard or mantelpiece without crowding the space.

What material is the lantern?

The globe-shaped frame is metal in a brass finish, and the cylinder that holds the candle is clear glass.

Can I use it outdoors?

We suggest keeping it indoors, where it makes a warm centrepiece for a dining table, a sideboard or a mantelpiece.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 1.4KG, which gives it a solid, settled feel while still being easy to carry between rooms.

How do I clean it?

Let it cool fully after use, then wipe the glass with a soft cloth, as glass wipes clean easily and stays bright.

What colour is the finish?

The metal rods have a warm brass finish around a clear glass cylinder, so it pairs well with natural woods and cream textiles.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/losmora-metal-hurricane-lantern-brass-clear.jpg?v=1792452202
