losmora-metal-hurricane-lantern-black-clear
Losmora Metal Hurricane Lantern - Black & Clear

Description

Our Losmora is a metal hurricane lantern made as an open globe of slim black rods around a clear glass cylinder. The rods run in staggered lengths, so the outline reads as a rounded sphere while the gaps keep the glass in full view. It stands 20.7cm tall and measures 23.7cm across, and at 1.4KG it has a reassuring weight in the hand. The candle sits inside its own glass sleeve, and the black frame does the decorating.

It belongs indoors, on a dining table, a sideboard, a mantelpiece or a deep windowsill, and it works just as well as a centrepiece on a coffee table. Lit, the slim rods break the candlelight into fine lines, giving a room a soft, layered glow in the evening. Unlit, the black wire globe still holds its own as a sculptural decor piece, which is why we like it for shelves and hallway consoles too. The monochrome pairing of black and clear sits comfortably in modern, industrial and Scandinavian schemes, and it brings warmth to a plain white room without adding colour.

The frame is metal and the cylinder is glass, and the black finish on the rods contrasts cleanly with the clear glass sleeve. Choose a pillar candle or an LED candle that sits comfortably within the glass, with room to spare at the sides. For care, dust the rods with a soft, dry cloth, and once the candle is out and the glass has cooled, wipe the glass with a damp cloth so it stays clear. Stand it on a flat, level surface and it is ready whenever the evening calls for candlelight.

Specification

Colour

Black & Clear

Material

Metal, Glass

Height

20.7cm

Diameter

23.7cm

Weight

1.4KG

Frequently Asked

Can the Losmora lantern go outdoors?

We recommend it as an indoor piece, for a dining table, sideboard, mantelpiece or windowsill, where the black frame and clear glass stay looking their best.

How big is the Losmora hurricane lantern?

It stands 20.7cm tall and measures 23.7cm across, and it weighs 1.4KG, so it makes a solid centrepiece without crowding a table.

What material is the lantern?

The globe frame is made of slim black metal rods, and the cylinder that holds the candle is clear glass.

Which candles suit the glass cylinder?

A pillar candle or an LED candle works well, as long as it sits comfortably within the glass with a little room to spare at the sides.

How do I clean the lantern?

Dust the metal rods with a soft, dry cloth, and wipe the glass with a damp cloth once the candle is out and the glass has cooled.

What style of room suits the black and clear finish?

The monochrome black and clear pairing sits comfortably in modern, industrial and Scandinavian rooms, and it brings warmth to a plain white scheme without adding colour.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/losmora-metal-hurricane-lantern-black-clear.jpg?v=1792452257
