losessa-linear-pendant-light-black-gold
Losessa Linear Pendant Light - Black & Gold

Description

The Losessa is a linear pendant light with four slim tube shades hanging in a row from a single black ceiling bar. Each shade is steel in matt black, with a long, pointed cut-out on one side that opens onto a lining of gold leaf, so the light from each lamp plays across the textured gold inside every tube. The fitting is 92.5cm long, 6cm wide and 110cm high overall. Each tube takes a GU10 lamp at 4.5W, giving 345lm per light across the four. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in dry rooms.

We think it suits a dining table or a kitchen island best, where four points of light in a line cover the length of the surface rather than pooling in the middle. Because the shades are slim, they keep sight lines open across the room, which matters when people sit facing each other. The black and gold pairing sits well with oak, darker woods and black handles, and it brings a little richness to a modern room without fuss. It also works over a long sideboard or a breakfast bar in an open-plan space, where it marks out the eating area from the rest of the room.

The ceiling bar, the shades and the fine drops are all in black, with the gold leaf kept to the inner face of each shade. The tubes read as plain matt black from most angles and show their gold only through the cut-outs. There is no switch on the fitting itself: it is switched at the wall, like a standard ceiling light. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. The packed weight is 4.318KG, so a second pair of hands helps when you unbox it.

Specification

Length

92.5cm

Width

6cm

Overall Height

110cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black, gold

Light Source

GU10 (bulb included)

Wattage

4 x 4.5W

Lumens

345lm per light (4 lights)

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

F

Weight (packed)

4.318KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Which rooms suit this pendant?

It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in dry rooms such as a dining room, a kitchen or an open-plan living space, hung over a table, an island or a sideboard.

How long is the Losessa linear pendant?

The fitting is 92.5cm long, 6cm wide and 110cm high overall, so it is worth measuring your table or island first to check the bar sits comfortably within its length.

What bulbs does each shade take?

Each of the four shades takes a GU10 lamp at 4.5W, with 345lm per light, so the fitting uses four GU10 lamps in total.

Does it have its own switch?

No, there is no switch on the fitting.
