live-laugh-f-off-recessed-wooden-wall-sign-plaque-blue
Live Laugh F Off Recessed Wooden Wall Sign Plaque - Blue

Description

This wooden wall plaque takes a familiar three-word motto and gives it a very different ending. It reads 'Live Laugh F Off', and on the sign itself the F word is spelt out in full, with nothing starred out. The letters are bold black capitals with a fine gold outline and a bright pink drop shadow, set into a recessed centre panel so they sit just below the face of the frame. A thin gold pinstripe runs around them, following the rounded, notched ends of the plaque, and the whole piece is painted a soft dusty blue. It measures 48cm wide, 7.5cm high and 2cm deep.

With its slim height it fits a narrow strip of wall that a framed picture would crowd: above a shelf, a sideboard, a desk or a doorway. The dusty blue sits happily against deep navy, white or warm neutral paint, and the pink and gold pick up brighter accents nearby. Because the sign spells out its swear word, we'd keep it to grown-up spaces rather than a child's bedroom or anywhere younger visitors spend time. It's for walls where a bit of dry humour is welcome, and it makes a cheeky gift that gets a laugh the moment it's unwrapped.

The plaque is made of wood with a smooth painted finish, and a metal sawtooth hanger is screwed to the top of the back, so it hangs from a single nail or picture hook and sits close to the wall. To keep it looking fresh, dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away, keeping sprays and polish off the paint. For a simple finishing touch, hang it at eye level above a bookcase or drinks trolley and leave the wall around it clear, so those black and pink letters have room to land.

Specification

Material

Wood

Colour

Blue

Height

7.5cm

Width

48cm

Depth

2cm

Weight

0.222kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the Live Laugh F Off plaque?

It measures 48cm wide, 7.5cm high and 2cm deep, so it is a long, slim sign that suits a narrow strip of wall.

Is the swear word written out in full on the sign?

Yes, the sign itself spells the F word out in full in bold black capitals, with nothing starred or blanked out.

How does the plaque hang on the wall?

A metal sawtooth hanger is screwed to the top of the back, so it hangs from a single nail or picture hook and sits close to the wall.

What is the sign made of and what colour is it?

It is made of wood with a smooth painted finish in a soft dusty blue, with black lettering, a bright pink drop shadow and fine gold detailing.

How should I clean the wooden plaque?

Dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away, keeping sprays and polish off the paint.

Is this sign suitable for a child's bedroom?

Because the full swear word is printed on the front, we would keep it to grown-up spaces rather than a child's room or a family playroom.
