The slub weave shows intentional texture variation and occasional thickened threads running through the fabric — these irregularities are characteristic of slub cotton, not defects. The chair measures 60cm wide, 53cm deep and 73cm tall, with a seat height of 43cm and an internal seat area of 50cm x 48cm.

Designed as either a dining chair for compact dining tables or an occasional chair in bedrooms, dressing areas and living rooms, the three-leg configuration allows the chair to be pushed closer to walls and corners than conventional four-leg designs. The 43cm seat height suits standard dining tables at 72-76cm, and the upright back provides support without requiring arms. The 10.6kg weight gives stability without making the chair difficult to move for cleaning or rearranging.

The mango wood frame beneath the upholstery provides structural rigidity and accounts for the chair's weight. The slub fabric is a heavy-weave cotton where the yarn thickness varies along the thread, creating a textured surface that softens the chair's geometric profile. The ivory tone is a warm off-white that pairs with both neutral and warmer colour schemes, and the fabric hides minor marks better than plain-weave cottons.

Specification

Dimensions (WxDxHcm)

60 x 53 x 73

Texture/Finish

Mango wood Slub Cotton Fabric

Weight

10.6KG

Frequently Asked

What is slub fabric?

Slub cotton is a heavy-weave fabric where the yarn thickness varies intentionally along the thread, creating textural irregularities and occasional thickened sections. This gives the fabric a more organic, hand-woven appearance compared to uniform plain-weave cottons. The texture variations are a design feature, not a quality issue.

Is the chair suitable for dining use?

Yes. The 43cm seat height pairs with standard dining tables at 72-76cm height, and the upright back provides dining posture support. The three-leg design allows the chair to be pushed closer to the table edge than four-leg chairs.

How is the fabric cleaned?

Vacuum regularly with an upholstery attachment to remove dust and crumbs. For spills, blot immediately with a clean dry cloth — do not rub. Spot-clean stubborn marks with a barely-damp cloth and mild upholstery cleaner, testing on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid soaking the fabric or using harsh chemical cleaners.

What weight can the chair support?

The solid mango wood frame provides structural support, but the manufacturer does not publish a specific weight rating. The 10.6kg weight of the chair itself indicates a robust timber frame suitable for typical residential dining and occasional seating use.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/705347_libra_dbcdedb6-1858-447a-bc93-240bdb183f02.jpg?v=1750347498
