About ten broad horizontal bands run the full width of each panel, rising and falling in long, gentle curves and stacked in overlapping layers, each band following the curve of its neighbour as it widens and narrows. Each band steps cleanly down onto the next in a relief 10mm deep, enough to give every edge a soft shadow without the wall feeling busy. They work well as a feature wall behind a bed or sofa, along a hallway or behind a shop counter, where the gentle waves give a large plain surface some movement. The pattern changes with the light. With daylight coming from a window to one side, the stepped edges pick up a clear line of shadow and the dunes look deeper, while soft overhead lighting keeps the effect calm and even.
