large-beaded-mistletoe-christmas-tree-decoration-gold
Large Beaded Mistletoe Christmas Tree Decoration - Gold

Description

This large gold mistletoe Christmas tree decoration takes the familiar winter sprig and gives it a golden finish from loop to leaf tip. Fine twisted gold stems branch out from a single hanging loop, and each one ends in either a flat gold leaf or a small round white bead berry with a soft pearly sheen. The leaves come in pairs, curving out from the stem just as real mistletoe does, and their brushed surface catches the light as the sprig turns. It spreads to around 30.4cm across, a generous size for a tree decoration, so it holds its own among the baubles rather than disappearing between the branches.

We like it hung from a sturdy branch near the front of the tree, where the gold leaves and white berries can be seen up close. Mistletoe has always belonged above a doorway at Christmas, too, and the loop makes it just as easy to hang from a hook in the hall, a beam or the top of a door frame for the old kissing tradition. It sits happily on a garland along the mantelpiece or tied to a wreath, and its gold finish pairs well with warm white lights and cream, gold or green decorations.

The stems are twisted together into a single trunk that runs up into the hanging loop, so the whole sprig hangs from one point and the branches fan out beneath it. To keep it looking its best, dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth, and store it flat in a box between seasons so the leaves and berries are not crushed. Hang it along a staircase garland for a touch of gold, or tuck it into the ribbon of a wrapped present as a thoughtful Christmas gift that can go straight on the tree.

Specification

Colour

Gold

Height

3.5cm

Width

30.4cm

Depth

6.1cm

Weight

0.012kg

Occasion

Christmas

Frequently Asked

How big is the gold mistletoe decoration?

It spreads to around 30.4cm across, a generous size for a tree decoration, so it shows up well among baubles and along a garland.

How does it hang?

A loop of twisted stem sits at the top of the sprig, so it slips over a tree branch or onto a small hook in a doorway or along a beam.

What colour is it?

The stems and leaves are gold with a brushed finish, and the little round bead berries are white with a soft pearly sheen.

Can I hang it above a doorway as mistletoe?

Yes, it works well above a doorway or from a hook in the hall for the old tradition of a kiss beneath the mistletoe at Christmas.

How should I look after it?

Dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth, and store it flat in a box between seasons so the leaves and berries keep their shape.

Does it make a good Christmas gift?

It makes a thoughtful Christmas gift, and it looks lovely tucked into the ribbon of a wrapped present so it can go straight onto the tree.
