lancaster-bomber-frosted-etched-tankard-beer-glass-clear
Lancaster Bomber Frosted Etched Tankard Beer Glass - Clear

Description

This beer glass takes the classic tankard shape, with a sturdy handle and a thick base, and on the front it carries a frosted etching of the Lancaster bomber. The aircraft is drawn from above, with its four engines lined along the wings, roundels near the wingtips and bold camouflage stripes running across the wings, body and tail. Beneath it, the word LANCASTER is etched in clean capital letters. The etching has a soft white frosted look against the shiny clear glass, so the design stands out whether the glass is full or empty. It measures 13.5cm tall, 12.5cm wide and 10cm deep, a comfortable size to lift by the handle.

It is a glass to bring out for a favourite beer or cider, and it looks just as good on a shelf or in a drinks cabinet between uses. Anyone with a soft spot for the Lancaster will know the outline at a glance, which makes it a thoughtful Father's Day gift that needs no explanation. We like it wrapped with a few bottles of a favourite ale for a present that is ready to give.

The design is etched into the surface of the glass rather than printed on, so it becomes part of the glass itself. The thick base helps it sit steady on a bar or table, and the handle leaves plenty of room for a full grip. For care, we suggest washing it by hand in warm soapy water and drying it with a soft cloth, which is good practice for any etched glass. Set it on a shelf beside a model aircraft or a framed print, or wrap it in tissue for a gift any fan of the Lancaster will be glad to unwrap.

Specification

Material

Glass

Colour

Clear

Finish

Shiny

Height

13.5cm

Width

12.5cm

Depth

10cm

Weight

0.739kg

Occasion

Father's Day

Frequently Asked

How big is the Lancaster tankard?

It stands 13.5cm tall, 12.5cm wide and 10cm deep, which is a comfortable size for lifting by its handle.

Is the Lancaster design printed or etched?

The Lancaster bomber and the word LANCASTER are etched into the clear glass, giving the design a soft white frosted finish.

What does the etching on the glass depict?

It depicts a Lancaster bomber from above, with four engines, roundels on the wings and camouflage stripes, and the word LANCASTER beneath it.

What colour is the beer glass?

The glass is clear with a shiny finish, and the etched aircraft and lettering have a soft white frosted look.

How should I clean the etched tankard?

We suggest washing it by hand in warm soapy water and drying it with a soft cloth, which is good practice for etched glass.

Does the Lancaster beer glass make a good Father's Day gift?

Yes, it makes a thoughtful Father's Day gift, and the Lancaster design gives it a personal touch for anyone fond of the aircraft.
