laasrith-rocking-sheep-white
Laasrith Rocking Sheep - White

Description

This rocking sheep is a soft toy and a ride in one: a curly white polyester body set on a pair of curved poplar wood rockers. It measures 65cm long, 34cm wide and 48cm tall, a compact size that fits easily in a nursery or beside a sofa. Its face is a sleepy one, with closed eyes and a small smile, framed by floppy ears, and a tufted tail finishes the back. A wooden handle on each side of its head gives small hands something to hold.

It belongs wherever a child plays: the nursery, a playroom, a bedroom or the living room, where it looks as much like a soft furnishing as a toy. At 2.8KG it is light enough for a grown-up to carry from room to room, so it can follow the family through the day. Between rides it makes a cuddly seat for teddies and a quiet piece of decoration on a rug or beside a reading nook. It makes a warm birthday or Christmas present for a child who loves animals, and it needs no more than a little floor space.

Underneath the curly coat, the sheep stands on four rounded feet set on wooden slats, with a small wooden footrest on each rocker. The rockers and frame are poplar wood, a light hardwood with a fine, even grain, and the coat is polyester, a hard-wearing fibre, here given a soft curl. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download, so you can read through how it goes together before you start. For styling, set it on a deep-pile rug or a woven mat, where the white coat sits happily beside natural wood, rattan, linen and a few favourite books.

Specification

Width

34cm

Length

65cm

Height

48cm

Material

Polyester, Poplar wood

Colour

White

Maximum load

60KG

Recommended age

From 12 months

Weight

2.8KG

Safety

Warning: This toy must be assembled by an adult before use.
