kupetz-linear-85-union
Kupetz Linear 85 Union

Description

The Kupetz Union is a lighting accessory from our Kupetz range: a round white globe held beneath a brushed gold-coloured cylindrical cap, set on a slim black rod that runs out to either side. It is a single globe, simple in outline, with the cap sitting snugly over its crown like a lid. We list it at 250cm tall, 106.6cm wide and 15cm across, so check those figures against the space you have in mind. The soft white of the globe against the warm gold of the cap and the black of the rod gives it a quiet, graphic look that works in a plain room as well as a busy one.

It is rated IP20 and made for indoor use, so it belongs in dry rooms: a living room, a dining room, a hallway, a bedroom or a study. The clean geometry suits a modern interior, and the mix of black, gold and white sits comfortably with pale walls and darker schemes alike. It suits someone who wants lighting with a clear, architectural line rather than a fabric shade or a decorative frame, and who likes to see how a piece is put together.

Its protection class is Class I, which means it is an earthed fitting. The design is credited to e27, Tim Brauns, and that shows in the restraint of the piece: three plain forms, a rod, a cap and a globe, joined with nothing added for show. On the practical side, IP20 means it should stay well away from steam and splashes, and with a height of 250cm and a width of 106.6cm it wants a room with generous clearance, so measure your space before you decide where it goes. The Kupetz light head in our photographs is not included.

Specification

Height

250cm

Width

106.6cm

Diameter

15cm

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Lead time

Made to order, usually delivered in 4 to 8 weeks

Frequently Asked

Can the Kupetz Union go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is made for indoor use rather than anywhere it could be splashed.

How big is the Kupetz Union?

We list it at 250cm tall, 106.6cm wide and 15cm across, so it needs a room with generous clearance around it.

What colours is the Kupetz Union?

It has a round white globe beneath a brushed gold-coloured cap, set on a slim black rod, so it pairs warm gold with crisp black and white.

Who designed the Kupetz Union?

The design is credited to e27, Tim Brauns, and it keeps to three plain forms: a rod, a cap and a globe.

What does Class I mean for this fitting?

Class I is its protection class, which means it is an earthed fitting rather than a double-insulated one.

How long will it take to arrive?

It is made to order for you, so it is usually delivered in 4 to 8 weeks.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/01_lead_1af2c9f3-ddfe-4475-b64a-2dc65cff241d.jpg?v=1791750553
