The whole body is combed into fine vertical ribs that run from just below the rim down to the foot. Over them a reactive glaze breaks from a speckled cream at the top into a warmer terracotta across the ribbing, so the colour shifts down the pot rather than sitting flat. The rim is plain and rolled.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt is made for outdoors as much as indoors. There are drainage holes in the base and a bung supplied with it, so the holes can be stopped when the planter is used inside and opened again when it goes out. It stands on a paved terrace, with the larger size behind it.
