The face is a rounded rectangle held inside a low raised edge, and the glass runs about 2cm thick through the body. It is transparent but not colourless: the recycled stock leaves a green cast where the section is thickest, and the face carries the ripple of the mould it was cast in.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt is made for putting food out on rather than for cutting on, and it is not suitable for use as a chopping board. At 28 by 15cm it takes a cheese and a few crackers, a handful of cured meats or a short row of canapes, and the handle gives somewhere to hold it when it goes round a table.
