The top is one plank running the full 119.5cm, its natural edge left irregular along the front and overhanging the frame slightly at each end. The frame is dark iron throughout and the bench stands 52cm high and 29cm deep.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 52cm the top sits a little above ordinary seat height, which is the height for sitting down to pull boots on and getting up again. The two wire shelves run the whole length of the frame and take shoes in pairs, or boxes and baskets.
