A narrower drum sits inside the outer one and is visible through it, so the eye reads two layers of glazing at once. Three bulbs sit on a brass cross bar at the centre, in plain sight through the panes. It hangs on a brass chain with a black flex running alongside.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEverything here is clear glass, so the fitting is looked at rather than looked past, and the bulbs are part of what is on show. That suits a hallway, or a dining table where it is seen across at seated height, or a stairwell where it is passed at close range. Light from the three bulbs crosses the inner ring of panes and then the outer, so it is broken twice before it reaches the room. It takes three E27 bulbs, each up to 40W, and the flex runs 1.7m.
