Three tapered legs rise from a flat circular ring at the floor and meet the rim that holds the glass. The casting is left rough, so the surface is pitted all over and the tone shifts from a pale gold on the high edges to a deep brown in the hollows. The tops are dark glass with a slow ripple running across them.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe taller table stands 54cm with a top 46cm across, which puts it level with the arm of most sofas. The smaller one is lower and narrower and tucks under the taller one, so pushed together the pair takes up one table worth of floor. Molten aluminium is poured into a sand mould, which is what leaves the pitted surface and makes no two quite the same, and the legs run into the base ring without a visible joint.
