The handles are a different surface altogether, rough and pitted the whole way down, and each widens at the end into a scalloped foot.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 25cm they reach the bottom of a full salad bowl without the hand going in after them. The fork blade is broad enough to lift a portion rather than only to spear it, and the spoon bowl is deep enough to carry dressing along with the leaves.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBoth servers are stainless steel. They are food safe and they go in the dishwasher. The brushed finish sits flat and matt across the heads and catches unevenly on the cast handles, so the two halves of each server read as different golds.
