kervarne-solar-spike-light-25-5cm-black
Kervarne Solar Spike Light 25.5cm - Black

Description

This is a solar spike light in a black finish, built as an open square frame. Four slim corner posts rise between a solid top cap and a solid base, with a short spike beneath for fixing it upright. It stands 25.5cm tall and measures 9.5cm wide and 9.5cm long, a compact, upright shape that reads cleanly from every side. The body is plastic, and the light source is an integrated solar LED of 0.5W, set into the frame so the glow falls through the four open sides.

The solar panel sits flush in the top cap, where it charges from daylight, and as general guidance it does best in an open, sunny spot. Because it runs on its own panel and battery, there is nothing to plug in and no electrician to book, which suits anyone who wants a soft point of light without any fitting work. The squared lines suit modern, uncluttered settings, and the black finish keeps the frame quiet by day while the light does the work after dark. The spike needs a recess depth of 9cm, so choose a spot with at least that much firm depth beneath it.

It runs on an AA NiMH battery of 1000mAh and gives a run time of 6 hours, and an on/off switch lets you turn the light off whenever you do not need it. The LED is integrated and not replaceable, so there is no separate bulb to buy. Its packed weight is 0.437KG, light enough to lift and reposition by hand. The installation instructions come as a PDF download, and they are worth a read before you set it in place.

Specification

Length

9.5cm

Width

9.5cm

Height

25.5cm

Body Material

Plastic

Body Colour

Black

Light Source

Solar LED, integrated

Wattage

0.5W

Features

LED not replaceable

Switch

On/off switch

Run Time

6 hours

Battery

AA, NiMH, 1000mAh

Protection Class

Class III

Recess Depth

9cm

Weight (packed)

0.437KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

How long does it stay lit?

It gives a run time of 6 hours, powered by an AA NiMH battery of 1000mAh that the solar panel in the top cap charges.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The solar LED is integrated into the frame and is not replaceable, so there is no separate bulb to buy or change.

How big is the light?

It stands 25.5cm tall and measures 9.5cm wide and 9.5cm long, and the spike needs a recess depth of 9cm.

Where should the solar panel sit?

The panel is set into the top cap and charges from daylight.
