It flares out from a brass collar and ends in a rim that ripples rather than running true, and small bubbles and faint ridges sit in the glass itself. Above the collar a short brass stem carries a brass chain with a rust coloured fabric flex twisted through the links. The shade measures 30cm across.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA bell this wide and this shallow pushes light down and outward across a broad circle. Hung low over a dining table it lights the table and the faces around it, and over a hall table or a console one on its own covers the surface. The glass is clear, so the bulb shows through it and the shape of the bulb counts. It takes one E27 bulb up to 60W, it is dimmable, the flex runs 1.5m, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe shade is recycled glass, shaped by hand, so the rim line and the thickness of the wall differ from one shade to the next.
