The floor inside is a plain metal plate and the frame stands on four short feet at the corners of the base.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt takes a pillar candle, standing on the metal floor rather than dropping into a socket, so the diameter is open. Glass on all four sides means the flame shows from every direction, which suits a hearth, a hall floor or a doorway that gets walked past rather than a table it is only seen from one side of. The handle takes a whole hand, so it carries from room to room.
