kashi-snowflake-aluminium-christmas-candle-holder-silver
Kashi Snowflake Aluminium Christmas Candle Holder - Silver

Description

This is a candle holder in the shape of a snowflake, made from 100% aluminium with a silver plated finish. Its arms spread out from the centre, each one shaped like a little sprig of leaves, and a ring of small round openings circles the single round cup that holds one slim taper candle. It is 13.5cm across and just 4cm tall, so it sits low and wide, a flat star of metal rather than a tall stem. At 0.1KG it is light, as aluminium is, and easy to move from room to room wherever you want a candle.

We think of it as a Christmas piece first. Set it in the middle of the dinner table, along a mantelpiece, on a deep windowsill or on a hall console where guests come in, and its outline shows best from above, which is how most of us see a table. It works on its own on a sideboard or a side table, and a few of them in a line down a long table look like snow that has just settled. It suits anyone who decorates simply for December and wants a winter shape without a lot of fuss, and it is an easy gift to bring to a host.

The finish is plated, and the surface is textured rather than mirror smooth: the leaves carry a fine stippled grain and the cup shows faint lines, so the silver catches candlelight unevenly, a little like frost on a window. The candle and other styling props shown are not included. For the look we like best, choose a tall, slim taper, so that the height comes from the candle and the low silver snowflake spreads out beneath it on marble, pale wood or a linen runner.

Specification

Height

4cm

Diameter

13.5cm

Material

100% Aluminium

Colour

Silver

Finish

Plating

Weight

0.1KG

Frequently Asked

What is the snowflake candle holder made of?

It is made from 100% aluminium with a plated finish in silver, and the surface has a textured grain rather than a mirror shine.

How big is it?

It is 13.5cm across and 4cm tall, so it sits low and wide on a table or shelf, and it weighs 0.1KG.

What kind of candle does it hold?

It is made for one slim taper candle, held upright in the single round cup at the centre of the snowflake.

Does it come with a candle?

No. The holder comes on its own.
