karnarne-smoked-glass-3-light-pendant-black
Karnarne Smoked Glass 3 Light Pendant - Black

Description

The Karnarne is a three light cluster pendant: three round smoked glass globes hang on black cords of different lengths from a single round ceiling plate in black steel. The shades are vapour-coated glass with a black-transparent tint, so while unlit they read as mirrored, smoky spheres, and once lit the light comes through the tint softened. Overall it stands 110cm tall and measures 42.5cm in diameter. Each shade takes an E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulbs are not included, so the choice of light is yours. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

Hung above a dining table, the staggered drops put a glow at three different heights, and the cluster looks considered from every seat. It suits a kitchen island just as well, or a living room or hallway with room for the drop. The black plate and cords sit quietly against a pale ceiling and leave the smoked glass to catch the eye, while the monochrome palette sits comfortably beside oak, grey upholstery and plain walls. For anyone wanting a pendant that looks good even unlit, this is an easy choice.

The body is steel finished in black, and the round plate centres the cluster neatly over a round table as well as a long one. There is no switch on the fitting; it is switched at the wall, so your existing light switch runs it. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download. Glass shows dust and fingerprints readily, so a soft dry cloth keeps the globes clear and bright. The packed weight is 2.82KG. Choose a clear filament bulb and its outline shows softly through the smoked tint, which is how we like it best.

Specification

Overall Height

110cm

Diameter

42.5cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black

Shade Material

Glass vaporized

Shade Colour

Black-transparent

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 3 x 40W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

2.82KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Are the bulbs included with the Karnarne pendant?

No, the bulbs are not included.
