The shade carries a marbled glaze, chalky white with drifting grey veins, and no two angles look quite the same as the light moves across it. A round brass ceiling plate and a short stem hold the shade close to the ceiling. A single lampholder sits at its centre, so the bulb hangs just beneath the ceramic, open to view. It is 10cm tall and 27cm across.
