kamarne-fixed-led-downlight-white
Kamarne Fixed LED Downlight - White

Description

The Kamarne is a fixed LED downlight in white, a round fitting that sits recessed into the ceiling so that only a slim ring and a deep-set faceted reflector show. The body is aluminium and the face measures 8.8cm across, small enough to read as a quiet detail on a plain ceiling. The LED is integrated, drawing 6W and giving 450lm at a colour temperature of 2700K, a warm light that feels relaxed and homely. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoor living spaces such as living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and landings.

Downlights like this work best in groups, and a neat row of them across a living room or along a hallway gives even, general light without a pendant hanging in the way. Because the Kamarne is fixed, the light points straight down, which suits overall lighting rather than picking out a single picture. It is dimmable, so you can run it bright for a busy evening and turn it down when you want to settle in with a film or a book. It is switched at the wall, so there is no pull cord or switch on the fitting itself, and everyone simply uses the light switch they already know.

Two spring clips grip the ceiling and hold the downlight snugly in place once it is pushed into its hole. It needs a 6.8cm cut-out and 5.6cm of recess depth, so check the space above your ceiling before you order. It runs on mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, carries energy class E and weighs just 0.18KG packed. Because it is a wired mains light, a qualified electrician should install it, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download that you can pass on ahead of the job.

Specification

Diameter

8.8cm

Body Material

Aluminium

Body Colour

White

Light Source

LED, integrated

Wattage

6W

Lumens

450lm

Colour Temperature

2700K

Dimmable

Yes

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

E

Recess Depth

5.6cm

Cut-Out

6.8cm

Weight (packed)

0.18KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

What size hole does the Kamarne downlight need?

It needs a 6.8cm cut-out in the ceiling and 5.6cm of recess depth, and the white face that covers the hole measures 8.8cm across.

Can the Kamarne downlight be dimmed?

Yes, it is dimmable, so you can lower the light for a calmer evening.
