The glass carries a lustre finish, a thin iridescent film running from near clear at the rim to a warm smoky gold across the shoulder, which shifts as you move around it. This is the small: 36cm tall and 23.5cm across.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe proportion is what separates the two sizes. At 23.5cm the small is narrow enough to hang in a row over an island or a run of worktop without the shoulders crowding each other, where the large wants space of its own. It is also a full 10cm shorter, which matters under an ordinary ceiling. The straight sides send most of the light down through the open base, so a row of them gives a sequence of defined pools rather than a general glow.
