The lid is a disc of mango wood with a turned knob on top, and a notch is cut in its edge for the spoon, which stands in the jar with its handle out through the notch.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 8.75cm across this is a small jar, for the things that get used a spoonful at a time and live on the table rather than in a cupboard: sugar, salt flakes, sprinkles, seeds.
