jules-stoneware-dinner-set-of-12-multi
Jules Stoneware Dinner Set of 12 - Multi

Description

This is a twelve-piece stoneware dinner set made in three shapes: large plates 28.5cm across, smaller plates 22cm across and deep plates 22cm across and 5cm tall. Both flat plates stand 2cm tall. At 28.5cm the large plate is a full dinner plate size, with room for a roast and all its trimmings, while the 22cm plate suits a starter, a lunch or a slice of cake. Every piece wears a multicoloured reactive glaze laid on in broad, overlapping sweeps. A reactive glaze moves as it fires, so no two pieces come out alike, and that variation is the charm of it.

The deep plates sit between a bowl and a plate, and they are the most versatile of the three shapes: pasta, risotto, curry, a salad or a ladle of soup all suit them. Use the set for everyday meals at the kitchen table, then lay it out for a weekend lunch with friends or a long Sunday dinner. Because the glaze varies from piece to piece, it suits a relaxed table where a little variety is welcome, and it looks as good on open kitchen shelving between meals. It makes a sound starting point for a first home, or a welcome change for anyone replacing a cupboard of odd plates.

Every piece is 100% stoneware under a reactive glaze. Stoneware is dense and hardwearing, which is why it suits plates used every day. Care is simple: the whole set goes in the dishwasher, the microwave and the oven, so you can warm the plates before serving, reheat leftovers in a deep plate or bake a gratin and carry it straight to the table. The twelve pieces weigh 8.884KG together, which is worth knowing when you choose a cupboard shelf. For styling, keep the table quiet: a linen cloth, simple cutlery and a jug of flowers let the glaze carry the look.

Specification

Plate 1

Height 2cm, Diameter 22cm

Plate 2

Height 2cm, Diameter 28.5cm

Deep plate

Height 5cm, Diameter 22cm

Sold as

Set of 12

Material

100% Stoneware

Colour

Multi

Finish

Reactive glaze

Capacity

800ml

Dishwasher safe

Yes

Microwave safe

Yes

Oven safe

Yes

Food safe

Yes

Weight

8.884KG

Frequently Asked

What sizes are the plates in this dinner set?

There are three shapes: large plates 28.5cm across and 2cm tall, smaller plates 22cm across and 2cm tall, and deep plates 22cm across and 5cm tall.

Can it go in the dishwasher and the microwave?

Yes.
