joressa-glass-8-light-pendant-chrome
Joressa Glass 8 Light Pendant - Chrome

Description

The Joressa is a glass 8 light pendant in the classic candle chandelier style. Eight curved glass arms sweep out from a central glass column to eight chrome candle sleeves, and strings of glass beads and faceted glass drops hang between them to catch the light. The glass is a warm cognac colour, set against a steel body in a chrome finish. It stands 130cm tall overall and measures 82cm in diameter. Each of the eight holders takes an E14 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulbs are not included. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors and dry, so a dining room, living room or hallway rather than a bathroom or the garden.

At 82cm in diameter it wants a room with space around it. Hung centrally over a dining table, it gives the room a clear focal point and puts eight points of light where people gather to eat and talk. It is just as at home in a high-ceilinged hallway, a formal sitting room or a generous bedroom with a traditional look. The cognac tint gives the glass a honeyed warmth that sits beautifully with period wallpaper, warm wood and soft cream walls. If you love the classic chandelier but find clear glass a little cold, this is the one we would suggest.

The metalwork matches throughout: the ceiling canopy, chain and candle sleeves are chrome, like the steel body. There is no switch on the fitting itself, as it is switched at the wall, and it runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains. It weighs 9KG packed, and as a wired-in mains light it should be installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download. Order eight E14 bulbs of up to 40W each alongside it, so it can be lit the day it is hung.

Specification

Overall Height

130cm

Diameter

82cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Chrome

Shade Material

Glass

Shade Colour

Cognac

Light Source

E14 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 8 x 40W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

9KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Joressa go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is for indoor, dry rooms only, such as a dining room, living room or hallway.

Are bulbs included?

No, bulbs are not included.
