The same flared form sits at the top and at the foot, the foot much the wider of the two.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe whole surface is worked in broad hammered facets, so the antique brass breaks into small planes of light and shadow instead of reading as one continuous curve. At 19cm the flame stands low enough to see across on a laid table, and the 6.5cm foot takes little room between dishes.
