janavi-jute-christmas-table-runner-green
Janavi Jute Christmas Table Runner - Green

Description

This is a long woven table runner in 100% jute, made in green for the Christmas table. It measures 550cm long and 35cm wide, a length meant for the longest tables in the house, or for two tables pushed end to end when everyone comes round. The weave is flecked, with a glint that catches the light, and each edge finishes in a short fringe, so the look is relaxed rather than formal. Jute is a coarse plant fibre with a dry, textured feel, and it gives the runner a rustic, homespun character that suits a festive table.

At 35cm wide it is narrow enough to run down the middle of a table and leave the sides clear, and at 550cm long it has length to spare, so you can let it fall over each end for a generous, draped look. It is just as useful laid along a sideboard, a deep window ledge or a hall console when the decorations go up. The green sits well with natural wood, brass, rattan and pale linens, and because it is not printed with a Christmas motif, it works happily on a winter table into January after the tree comes down.

Care is simple but firm: the runner is spot clean only, so lift any mark with a damp cloth rather than putting it in the washing machine. It should not go in the tumble dryer and it should not be ironed. It weighs 0.56KG, light enough to roll up loosely and put away with the rest of the decorations when the festivities are over. The styling props shown are not included. For the best effect, lay it straight down the centre of a pale cloth and build height along it with paper trees, pine cones or candle holders.

Specification

Width

35cm

Length

550cm

Material

100% Jute

Colour

Green

Finish

Woven

Washing

Spot clean only

Drying

No

Ironing

No

Weight

0.56KG

Frequently Asked

What is this table runner made of?

It is woven from 100% jute, a coarse plant fibre with a dry, textured feel, and each edge finishes in a short fringe.

How long and wide is it?

It is 550cm long and 35cm wide, so it suits the longest tables and leaves length to spare to fall over each end.

Can I put it in the washing machine?

No. It is spot clean only, so lift marks with a damp cloth, and it should not be tumble dried or ironed.

How much does it weigh?

It weighs 0.56KG, so it is light to lay out, roll up and put away with the rest of the decorations.

Is it only for Christmas?

It is made as a Christmas runner, but the green, flecked jute weave carries no festive print, so it sits just as well on a winter table afterwards.

Are the trees and berries included?

No. You receive one green jute table runner on its own; the styling props shown are not included with it.
