jamey-glass-candle-holder-amber
Jamey Glass Candle Holder - Amber

Description

This candle holder is made entirely of glass in a rich amber, shaped as a slim column standing on a round foot. A flat disc sits at the top with a narrow socket in its centre for a taper candle, and at the bottom the column flares out into a broader disc that gives it a wide footprint. It is 16cm tall and 9cm across, a comfortable middle height that lifts a single taper clear of the surface without crowding a table or shelf. At 0.4KG it is easy to pick up and move between rooms whenever needed.

Light passes through tinted glass, so once the candle is lit the amber column takes on a warm glow of its own, which is the real charm of a glass holder over a ceramic one. It sits well on a mantelpiece, a sideboard, a deep windowsill or an open bookshelf, and it brings a soft, warm note to the dining table for a quiet supper or a dinner with friends. Because it holds one candle, it works as a single accent on a narrow ledge, or you can place several along a mantelpiece at different points for a longer line of light. It suits anyone who likes a calm, uncluttered room, and it makes an easy gift for someone settling into a new home.

The holder is made of 100% glass, with a smooth, glossy surface on the top disc, column and foot. Glass does not absorb wax, so any drips that land on the top disc sit on the surface and do not soak into the glass. For a practical styling note, set it on an open shelf among slim vases of dried stems and a book or two, keeping the heights varied so the taper rises as the tallest point; the styling props shown are not included.

Specification

Height

16cm

Diameter

9cm

Material

100% Glass

Colour

Amber

Weight

0.4KG

Frequently Asked

How tall is the candle holder?

It is 16cm tall and 9cm across at its widest, a middle height that suits a dining table, a mantelpiece or an open shelf.

What material is it?

It is made of 100% glass in amber, with a smooth, glossy surface, and it weighs 0.4KG, so it is easy to move between rooms.

What kind of candle does it take?

It takes one taper candle, held upright in a narrow socket in the flat top disc.
