The frame is a broad flat band with softly rounded outer corners, and the casting has left the whole face granular and pitted, so light breaks across it instead of running along a smooth edge. The antique brass finish sits warm and dull rather than bright, deeper in the pits and lighter on the raised ground between them. The inner edge of the band is square and plain, with no moulding and no step.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt hangs either way up, so the same frame takes a picture in portrait or in landscape, and it is made to hang on a wall rather than to stand. It hangs on its own or in a group with the other sizes in the range, and a pressed flower goes behind the glass as readily as anything else.
